was delivered was very much on a child's level, without
being "dumbed" down, but still very entertaining.”

within our curriculum. The kids loved the show and how
interactive it was with them. The show held their attention,
they loved the 3D, and overall they had FUN learning. We
definitely will be back next year with more grades

fatty foods) does to the workings of the body.”

picture with the show's narrator. He did a fantastic job. At
first I thought it was over their heads, but in the end, it
all came together. Perfect job. I didn't see any flaws. The
information was interesting; the presentation was awesome;
and the presenter was fantastic. My kids have a new

“We LOVED your show! As the PE teacher of the school I was
especially
thrilled with the fun and entertaining way that you imparted
so much
important information on fitness and nutrition in such a
short amount
of time. Engaging students by having them yell back “Kid
Power,
calories in and calories out, high fructose corn syrup,"
etc. kept
them on their toes. The audience participation enthused
students and
the movement songs toward the end of the show helped get
them active
at a time when some might have gotten tired of sitting. My
personal
favorite part of the show was the super model and the song
that
accompanied her. Hilarious and informative.
Thanks again for coming to our school! Best of luck as you
travel the country!

Merilee Withrow, Dallas Christian School
“Mr. Wilson, Our 2nd Grade from Dallas Christian thoroughly
enjoyed the presentation today. Upon returning, the children
were vigilant in locating "high fructose corn syrup" on the
labels of their lunch items! As a teacher, I appreciated the
information that was presented, and the entertainment value,
as well.
The interactive format of your presentation was wonderful.
The children especially loved the 3D experience, and the
portions where they could join in and move! The coordination
between you and the projected images was very good, and the
images were very kid friendly. An area of improvement that I
would recommend is the manner in which we were dismissed. I
have attended many similar "theater" events and at the
conclusion, the schools are called out one or two at a time
(usually dependent on the order of the buses waiting outside
and the exit options of the theater) and allowed to exit
while the other schools remain seated. With everyone trying
to exit at once, it was difficult to make sure my students
were not accidentally following another class out the door,
and then I was not sure where our bus was parked. Losing a
student is always my biggest fear, and I was really
uncomfortable with the "mass" exit time.
A personal critique: The children sitting around me were
most engaged with the "rap" style song. I think it spoke
"their language" the best. My son is also a
performer/musician/songwriter/teacher, and after attending
hundreds of performances, I am very aware of audience
participation and reactions. If you were my son, I would ask
you to consider reworking the first song (which at present
has somewhat of a "preschool" feel) and give it a more
mature "rock" beat and feel. First impressions have such a
powerful impact on the whole experience. The first song
needs to grab your audience quickly, and I think just
changing the style would do that. The "you can feel great"
lyrics are great, but need to be in a "beat driven" song -
in my opinion. (Enough of my motherly and teachery opinions
. . . .but you DID ask.)
The length of the program is perfect for your target
audience, and your script is outstanding! The variety of
props was also very good. The songs that had pictures and/or
words to go along were fantastic and made learning your
message very efficient. I was impressed!
Thank you for all your hard work and wonderful enthusiasm.
Your warm spirit and words were evident from the moment we
stepped inside the theater. That will definitely bring
returning customers!!
Blessings”

adult health educator it was pure joy to discover a program
that addressed the issues of unhealthy eating and lack of
exercise in such an entertaining, informative..and... like I
said before...with a plant-based theme!....30,000 plants!!!!

“We enjoyed the show immensely. Thank you.”
“Dear Kid Power, Even though we had to wait extra time until
the show started in Norfolk on Monday, we had a great time.
My class of five-year-olds was seated in the front row, and
they were mesmerized. Each day, they continue to make
comments about things we learned. I has been a fabulous
complement to our lessons in the classroom about food groups
and our bodies. I wrote a recommendation on your Facebook
wall, and we will be making plans to return to the show
again next year. That you for the voucher for next year!
Each of my students had an assignment to draw a picture and
dictate three things that they learned at the show. I’ve
attached a copy of some of their responses. We have played
up on the “calories in, calories out” theme as we move about
our day in kindergarten. Thanks again, and I look forward to
bringing another group of children next year.”

fun as you travel from town to town and state to state. Take
care”

“My only feedback is to pick a facility where we won’t get a
parking ticket. We were specifically told we could not park
on campus so our only other choice was a side street. After
circling around for 20 minutes we found a side street that
we THOUGHT was ok to park on. Of course with us not being
familiar to the area when we came out, all of us had parking
tickets. If someone could have been there to direct us on
where to park we would not have had this issue. One other
note about the show: We had to sit on a side and the 3D
effects were not as effective from the corners. Now that we
know that we will specifically ask to sit in the middle if
we come again. Otherwise, show was great! Thanks”

“Dear Bruce, Thank you very much for your energetic,
fantastic performance! You have many talents, and we
appreciate your passion to help our youth become healthy and
active individuals! We had more positive feedback from our
students than negative. The overriding comment from our 5th
grade students was that parts of the program were “too
babyish.” You had advised me of this before the program
stated. The content was good for our students. Is there a
way you could have two shows: one for lower elementary and
one for upper elementary next year? We are definitely
interested in coming again if you can gear the performance
to the upper elementary audience! The delay in performance
start time was difficult for us because of because
transportation arrangements (the buses serving us had other
events at school they needed to return and serve
transportation for) and also trying to get back to school in
time to eat lunch before our cafeteria time expired. We
appreciate your work so much! Thank you for this experience
for our students! Sincerely, Nancy Johnson”

“Thank you! The show was terrific and actually exceeded my
already high expectations. I loved how it addressed both
ends of the weight spectrum, because no one ever talks about
being underweight! The enzyme demo taught me more in minutes
than three years of college! All the other characters (like
the lunch lady and the science professor) added to the fun
and entertainment of the program. The World’s Thinnest
Supermodel was so clever and so powerful. It was also so
nice of Kid Power to patiently pose with the groups
afterwards. Afterwards when we got back to school for lunch,
the students were shocked to discover that their food had
the dreaded high fructose corn syrup that they had just
learn and sung about. I have already started talking up the
show and have begun recruiting other teachers for next
year’s program and look forward to working with your very
pleasant staff again in 2012. Sincerely, Anne Marie Trense

“Hi Kid Power (Bruce), I recently saw the “Operation Lunch
Line” nutrition show at my daughter’s first grade field trip
in Inverness, Florida. I just want to tell you how much I
enjoyed the show! I Think you did an amazing job singing,
dancing, and education our children. As a teacher myself, I
know it’s difficult these days to capture their attention
and hope they retain the information! My daughter and I are
still singing “High Fructose Corn Syrup”…I even heard an
argument at the lunch table yesterday about whether the
chocolate milk had corn syrup or not (a couple weeks after
the show). What you are doing works and I was so glad to
experience it. I would love to see more of you in our
schools! Thank you!”
“The show was excellent! I witnessed my students engaged in
a very entertaining and educational show. Later that day, I
heard students discussing their lunches and healthy choices.
I believe the show had a positive impact on the overall
fitness of our students. Thanks for a great show!” -Julia

“We really enjoyed the show. However, when we got back to
school the only song
we could remember was "High Fructose Corn Syrup." It would
be great if we
could download the songs. Also, I would love for them to see
how the fat
around their middle squashes their organs. I promise that
I'm not complaining, but maybe you could show how long one
would need to run or jump rope to burn off the calories in
different types of junk foods. Plan to see you next year.”
