Summer Lunch Program

On Tuesday, May 31, 2016, Kid Power will join the Veggie Crew from USD 259, and Power 93.5 at Linwood Elementary to kick off year #2 of the Kid Power Café. Kid Power Cares, Inc. is proud to partner with Wichita Public Schools to promote participation in the Federal Summer Food Program. The program runs May 31st through July 28 at 41 sites throughout Wichita. All children ages 1-18 are eligible to attend the breakfast, lunch, and snack Kid Power Cafes. This summer Kid Power has teamed up with Wichita Public Schools to be the mascot of the Federal Summer Food Program. Kansas is ranked 48 out of 50 states for participation. Since Kid Power Cares, Inc. was formed to help Give Kids the Power to Feel Great we think this community coalition with WPS will be an opportunity for the 50,000 students in the school district to have more knowledge about the program through a new name and logo.
